BINANCE Copy Trading

The Copy Trading feature allows users to replicate the trades of experienced traders, providing a unique opportunity for both beginners and experts in the world of cryptocurrency trading.

My Role

Design Lead and Product Designer

I led the project and designed the Copy Trading App from scratch with bi-weekly iterations and pushed to launch within 2 months.

I am responsible for a smooth user experience and achieve growth KPI targets each quarter.

The Challenge

The Copy Trading feature needs to satisfy the needs of various user personas as there are many different feedback from users and I led the discussion between Designers, PM and MKT teams to reach the suitable solution catering for:

- Advanced user requirements of professional Lead Traders and seasoned Copy Traders

- Easily follow or copy the order with one click for beginner Copy Traders
- Enable Lead Traders and Copy Traders to control their portfolio status at any time

Competitive Product Research

I conducted extensive research of the competition with constant monitoring of new features

I proposed simpler and more intuitive processes and emphasized on our strengths

Copy Trading App Design

- The homepage design is clearly categorized, and the portfolio card design is intuitive with the most vital information
- More user friendly with terminology explanations for beginners
- Simplified application process to become a Lead Trader

- Functional guide for first time users
- The copy setting is simple and easy to understand
- Advanced settings can be expanded for experienced users

- Trader performance visualization makes it easy for users to add favorites and copy orders
- The total amount is summarized on My Copy Trading page, and multiple ongoing and closed portfolios can be viewed
- Intuitive to click to expand and manage each portfolio

- Lead Trader can easily and intuitively manage their portfolio
- Key performance information and graph visualization to monitor positions and trade history
- One click to share portfolio performance

- All trading activities can be controlled on a single Trade page for Lead Traders
- Consistent K-line user experience with Futures Trading page
- Detailed trade settings in the Preference page
