Impact
2024 was a defining year for Drift, driven by the launch of new ecosystem products and growth initiatives.
01My Role

I focused primarily on product design, leading feature design from concept to launch and continuously improving the user experience. Beyond the product, I collaborated with marketing teams on launch campaigns and supporting visual assets.

02Drift BET - Prediction Markets

Drift BET expanded the Drift ecosystem beyond perpetual trading, allowing users to participate in prediction markets while earning yield on their collateral.

Within weeks of launch, the platform reached over $20M in daily trading volume, becoming one of the most active prediction markets on Solana.

Challenge

Prediction markets are often complex for first-time users, with unfamiliar concepts, market selection, and trading flows. The goal was to create an experience that felt approachable while maintaining the speed and flexibility expected by experienced traders.

Design Highlights

1

Simplified Trading Experience

Reduced unnecessary complexity from traditional trading interfaces, creating a more approachable experience for prediction market users.

2

Consistent Product Experience

Applied familiar Drift trading patterns and visual language to help existing users transition naturally into prediction markets.

3

Launch Experience

Created a cyberpunk-inspired visual experience and marketing assets that generated excitement across the community.

Outcome

During the period I contributed to BET, Drift continued expanding its ecosystem beyond perpetual trading. The platform surpassed $1B+ TVL, served 200K+ traders, and accumulated $70B+ trading volume. BET further extended the ecosystem by introducing prediction markets, with the alpha launch generating over $3.5M in order book liquidity within the first 24 hours, demonstrating strong early user interest.

03Growth & Community Experiences

As Drift expanded its ecosystem, user engagement became just as important as trading itself. Beyond building core product experiences, I designed features that encouraged users to return regularly, track their progress, share achievements, and participate in community campaigns.

— DRIFT Airdrop

Drift launched its first community airdrop to reward early traders and liquidity providers while transitioning toward community governance. The claim experience needed to support thousands of users during one of the platform's most anticipated events.

Challenge

Heavy claim traffic on Solana created a high risk of network congestion. We needed a simple experience that reduced friction while encouraging users to avoid claiming simultaneously.

Design Highlights

1

Reward-Based Waiting

Users who waited received additional airdrop rewards, helping distribute claim traffic over time.

2

One-Step Claim

Simplified wallet connection and eligibility verification with minimal user actions.

3

Launch Experience

Created a cyberpunk-inspired visual experience and marketing assets that generated excitement across the community.

— Rewards, Leaderboards & Social Engagement

Challenge

As Drift introduced more incentive programs and community features, users needed a clearer way to understand their progress, discover rewards, and showcase their trading performance. The goal was to encourage long-term participation while making engagement features simple and rewarding to use.

Design Focus

  1. Simplified the Fuel Rewards experience with clearer progress tracking and reward visibility.
  2. Designed intuitive leaderboard experiences to help users discover top traders and monitor their own performance.
  3. Created shareable P&L cards that encouraged users to showcase their trading results across social platforms.

Product Design

Outcome

The engagement features became more than standalone interfaces — they evolved into growth touchpoints across the Drift ecosystem. Clearer reward progression, competitive leaderboards, and shareable P&L cards encouraged users to return, participate in campaigns, and celebrate their achievements publicly. By aligning product experiences with community and marketing initiatives, these designs helped create a stronger connection between user engagement and product growth.

04Drift Visual Ecosystem

Challenge

Product launches and promotional campaigns required consistent visual communication across the product, website, and social media while maintaining Drift's brand identity.
